Space Dementia is a term used to describe a psychological condition that afflicts some astronauts. It is supposed to be caused by experiencing and seeing the expansiveness of the universe, and feeling overwhelmingly insignificant. It is usually associated with feelings of isolation, insecurity, and insignificance.
